用户对降低发动机燃料成本的需求日益增加,促使汽车制造商着手开发使用替代燃料的系统。  使用液化石油气(LPG)和天然气(CNG)的内燃机被证明是行之有效的技术,与汽油和柴油车辆相比,通常具有更低的排放量和更少的燃料成本,还能满足许多国家执行的税收和交通激励政策要求。这就是全球对CNG和LPG汽车的关注不断增长的原因。天然气和液化石油气汽车通常是双燃料汽车,装有火花点火发动机,其中替代燃料与汽油协同工作。
